But you should not be putting all you eggs in one basket.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All these different social media platform uses algoritms, mathematical\u00a0 calculations and automations that handle of rules and data and make decisions about what users want to see on the platform.\u00a0 because that&#8217;s the only way  they can keep track and filter content that is relevant to different users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It becomes very hard for businesses to compete with these algoritms when Social media platforms keep changing them to suit the consumers that want to see more posts from their family and friends than they do from brands. They are determined on giving  the consumers what they want \u2013 and that\u2019s great. But sometimes this comes at the expense of brands and businesses who are trying to make a name for themselves  and get their products in front of an audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Email does not have any algorithms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You don&#8217;t have to spend countless hours building a social media following hat you rely on only to have the platform shut down and take all your lovely fans with it. It has happened to many marketers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What if Facebook got hacket or decided to shut down tomorrow, how many people would lose a large amount of their income?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The advantage with email is that\u00a0<em>you\u00a0<\/em>own your list of subscribers,  Once a subscriber has signed up for your list, you can  follow up with them and build a relationship as long as they\u00a0<em>want\u00a0<\/em>to be on your list. You\u2019re not be able to protect yourself from the constantly-changing nature of the social media scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With most email platforms you can back up your subscriber base in case something should happen and save it on a spreadsheet  on your computer. Then just move the subscribers to another platform, because you own that list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/agencyanalytics.com\/blog\/social-media-vs-email-marketing\">agencyanalytics.com<\/a> email produces much better  results of ROI than social media. This is the benchmark for email marketing, tho it can differ based on industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>The average email open rate is between 15-25%<\/li><li>The average click-through rate of roughly 2.5%<\/li><li>The average click-to-open rate should be between 20-30%<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>On the other hand Facebook you get a click-through at 0,07%, not so impressive if you ask me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When it comes to ROI, email marketing seems to have a much higher return than other channels as it&#8217;s estimated that email generates\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.emailmonday.com\/dma-national-client-email-report-2015\/\">$38 for every $1<\/a>\u00a0spent\u2014an amazing 3800% ROI. Social media comes in at a distant second place with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.emarketer.com\/Article\/Email-Continues-Deliver-Strong-ROI-Value-Marketers\/1014461\">an estimated average ROI of 28%<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So are you  now convinced  that email marketing  is a force to be reckon with?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>How do you start building your list?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Well, first you need a email marketing platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I use<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aweber.com\/easy-email.htm?id=516027\"> AWeber<\/a>, a great beginner email platform that&#8217;s been around for a long time, over 20 years. They are very reliable and have great support 24\/7.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Next, you need to create a landing page to capture subscribers to your list. you can use AWeber to create a landing page or use any landing page builder of choice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last but no least you need to get traffic to your page. for that you can use both free traffic, like social media, Facebook, You Tube, Instagram and paid traffic, like Solo ads,  facebook ads, google ads, microsoft ads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I will talk more in depth about this in the next post..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Is email marketing dead in 2022..
